AVAILABLE POSITIONS:

Receptionist

 The Franklin County Animal Shelter is seeking a receptionist to work Tuesday through Thursdays and Saturdays, from 9 am to 5 pm.  Our ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be friendly, professional, and courteous, especially when dealing with the public. He or she should feel comfortable multi-tasking in a busy environment and be proficient and comfortable with Word, Excel, Facebook, Instagram, and a PC/Windows-based computer. Duties will include serving customers in person and via phone and email, filing, managing animal records, taking pictures of and posting available cats to Facebook, transporting cats to our satellite adoption locations, and keeping the lobby area clean and tidy. It is also important that our receptionist is comfortable with animals of all shapes and sizes and dispositions. College degree is preferred. While this job does not include benefits, the Franklin County Animal Shelter does offer competitive pay and a positive, friendly working atmosphere. Kennel Technician

 The Franklin County Animal Shelter is seeking a Part-Time Kennel Technician, working Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, with potential for full-time hours. Our ideal candidate will be a professional, enthusiastic, hard-working animal lover with excellent multi-tasking skills and a willingness to get dirty, do some heavy lifting, and spend a majority of their work day standing and walking. Duties primarily include cleaning cat kennels, litter boxes, and other surfaces; laundry; washing pet dishes; mopping floors; and handling cats, and will also include cleaning dog kennels, and walking and cleaning up after dogs. While this job does not include benefits, the Franklin County Animal Shelter does offer competitive pay and a positive, friendly working atmosphere. Interested?
