Support Franklin County Animal Shelter!

Franklin County Animal Shelter has been helping homeless pets find their forever families since 1974. We have been a fairly small facility here, making important decisions in every moment when faced with "where can we put them?", as overcrowding is the norm in Maine animal shelters and rescues, and we always have each animal's needs in mind, first and foremost. It is finally time to expand our building, which will provide several more kennels, holding space, and medical areas for better habitation, access, and efficiency in our care of animals who need to feel safe and wanted while they are here. 

Thanks to grants and many local donors, we have gotten as far as we have - but there is so much left to go! We are continuing our fundraising efforts to help with the costs of equipment, like plumbing, medical tables, kennels, finishing touches on construction, and more. We will be finding more interactive ways for the public to join us and help raise the funds necessary to make this happen, so we hope you will follow our social media pages to keep track of our progress, and together, we can get this done!
